NOTE: As advertised on our website at commencement of the Covid Comeback Competition all divisions are just playing for a small cash prize of Winners $200 & Runners Up $100.  Presentation of both Winners / Runners Up, Overall Best & Fairest & Player of the Final straight after game in front of the Amenities building.

This cash prize for this Covid comeback is in the hope that it can be used for your team to celebrate by spending it within the local business community either by supporting your local pub, club/sponsor, OR a simple team BBQ.  THANKS TO EVERYBODY FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION & SUPPORT DURING OUR 25TH YEAR OF 2020 OZTAG HERE IN TAMWORTH (WITH A DIFFERENCE), ONE NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN THAT IS FOR SURE!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MIXED GRADES C – G GRAND FINAL RESULTS

A Grade FINAL – No show vs Giraffes with No Show up at half time 5-3 but went down to Giraffes 10-6 at full time.  They now go through to the GF this week to play Thread Effects who came 1st in division.

B Grade FINAL – Wuhan Warriors went down to Longyard Hotel 26-10 with a halftime scoreline of 11-5. Unfortunately being left with only 6 players by the end of the game, it made it a tough 2nd half.  Longyard now go through to play Broken Spoke this week, who came 1st in B grade.

C Grade GF –   After a 2all half time Murrabegundies ended up winning this game 6-4 with player of the final going to Zoe Allan & Overall Best & Fairest going to Jacob Bird from Tri Freedom.

D Grade GF –   Following extra time after a 10all full time score line, Multiple Scoregasms took out the win 11-10 in what was an exciting game played in great competitive spirit.  Player of the Final went to Matt Brindley from Multiple Scoregasms while Overall Best & Fairest went to Jeff Snell from Northies Bowlo.

E Grade GF –    With Yeetus Cleetus Come & Beat Us only up 4-3 at half time, they came back in the 2nd half to take out the win 11-4.  Dylan Clarke from Yeetus won player of the final whilst Jayme Averillo won Overall Best & Fairest from Trophy Supplies.

F Grade GF –    This game was closely contended being 4all at half time, but in the end El Tago came up trumps defeating KL Curtis Plumbing 13-9.  Al McCrohan from El Tago won Player of the Final whilst David Carter from How I Tagged Your Mother won Overall Best & Fairest.

G Grade GF –    With Wotifs up half time 6-2, Purtle & Plevey came back to close the gap and only went down in the end to Wotifs 11-9.  Player of that final went to Nathan Follington & Overall Best & Fairest went to Issy Burke from Purtle & Plevey.

CONGRATS TO ALL & HOPEFULLY YOU CAN USE THE SMALL CASH PRIZES GIVEN TO TEAMS THIS SEASON TO BUT BACK INTO THE LOCAL BUSINESSES.  EITHER BY A TEAM BBQ OR EVEN A GET TOGETHER AT YOUR FAVOURITE VENUE /SPONSOR.  SO HAPPY WE WERE ABLE TO GET YOU ALL BACK ON THE FIELD FOR WHAT HAS BEEN A TOUGH TIME FOR ALL, BUT TO SEE SMILES ON EVERYONES FACES WAS WORTH THE EFFORT.
